Businesses working toward building a fair and equitable Harford County have a new way to demonstrate their commitment with the Equity Ally Decal from the NAACP Harford County Branch.
This distinctive window cling decal is a simple way for any business or retail establishment to show that they do not discriminate and welcome everyone.
“NAACP is about creating a space where everyone has the opportunities, support and resources to succeed equally,” explains President Vicki Jones. “The Equity Ally Decal is a simple way for organizations who also support those goals to show to their staff and to the public that they are committed to equity in our county.”
The decal is available at donorbox.org/equality-ally-decal. A minimum donation of $25 is requested, and organizations agree to the following:
By displaying this decal, you pledge to:
Work to create a fair and equitable Harford County where everyone -- including employees, visitors, customers, vendors and clients -- is afforded equal respect and opportunities regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, immigration status, religion or disability.
Develop and enforce policies to ensure that discrimination based on any of the above factors is not tolerated by your company.
Not discriminate against any individuals or deny them goods or services based on any of the characteristics above.
Display the NAACP Harford County Branch window cling in your establishment where possible.
“We’re looking forward to seeing every shop window display this important sign of solidarity,” says Jones. To get yours, visit at donorbox.org/equality-ally-decal. To learn more about NAACP Harford County Branch or to become a member, visit harconaacp.org.
